Ms Artemis Cooper on Sir Patrick Leigh Fermor, war hero and travel writer extraordinaire. Artemis Cooper is his biographer and a family friend, and published recently 'The Broken Road', the third part of Patrick Leigh Fermor’s account of his walk across Europe to Constantinople in the 1930’s. He spent time on holiday in Ivy Cottage as a boy and was christened at Christ Church in 1915.
